Dr. Gu began his career as a cardiothoracic surgeon and later served on the front lines as an emergency physician. During the pandemic, while guiding his department through unprecedented clinical challenges, he confronted the same broken billing systems that burden so many physicians. Revenue was lost, administrative work piled endlessly, and the strain grew heavier on both providers and hospitals until the crisis could no longer be ignored.

Out of that experience, Youlify was born. Dr. Gu envisioned more than a billing solution. He saw the opportunity to spark a movement that empowers physicians, restoring autonomy and efficiency. By harnessing the power of AI, Youlify addresses the true root cause of burnout and creates time for providers to do what they were called to do: care for patients.
